One of the greatest assassins to your spiritual destiny is always a soul tie. It is my agenda in this book to expose the underlying workings and strategies of the enemy.
Your success in God must be purposeful. The anointing must be protected at all cost. I heard a great man say that if God is going to elevate you to another dimension, He will send you somebody who is divinely connected to your life. When the devil wants to stop the purpose, plans, and destiny for your life he will send you somebody called a soul tie.
Today in Christendom we confuse divine connections with soul ties. Remember the devil is a counterfeit. He could not be God so everything he does, says, and thinks is to manipulate and appear to be the right thing but in reality it is the wrong. It is so imperative that as you read this book you hear the revelation God is trying to apart by His spirit. There are many things that can stop, delay and deny your destiny, but a soul tie cancels everything God has planned for you. It is a major kingdom principle that you only allow the people God has purposed for you to be in your life. Anything else will cost you and your destiny. Ask yourself is that person that God has told you to separate from worth your destiny? You may think it is not that serious but, when you align yourself with a soul tie you are then, disallowing and permanently stopping your true destiny in God from coming forth.
I remember this past summer; while I was at my parent’s house I had a dream. In the dream there was someone that I was very close to. This person had decided they didn’t want to truly serve God. This person had created a spiritual Ishmael in their lives but I was still connected to them. In the dream I heard God tell me I had to separate myself and either choose God or choose man. I said in my heart, “God I choose you, I still choose you”. God was telling me to disconnect from someone that I loved dearly. Ishmael is representative of man trying to accomplish God’s plan through human means. Abraham created Ishmael when he felt that he could no longer wait on God for his promise. God was requiring me to disconnect with someone who decided they were no longer going to connect with God.
The point is the people that start out with you, will not be the people that make it to the promise with you. Many Christians try to hold on to what God has told them to let go of. God is not going to bless you unless you let it go.
Remember if God has a blessing for you it is for you. Just because you want to allow everyone into your prophetic promise does not mean He will allow it. Remember what you don’t let go of will cost you your destiny. God is not going to allow someone into His anointing that He does not want there. God will say “okay since you won’t let go I am shutting the door on you!” He won’t say “okay since you really want this person I will allow them to come into what I have promised you.”
This is a strategic hour within the body of Christ. We have false anointing, false prophets and false prophesies rising up like never before. You must in this hour serve the true and living God. You must meet every requirement. One of the most difficult requirements God ever requires of His people is that, they let go of anything and anyone that is not assigned to their lives.
I am a dreamer. As God was preparing me to write this book, He spoke to me through several dreams and visions.
I had another dream where I was going to this conference being held by one of the big time preachers. This person in their day was the premier, most successful preachers of our time. In the dream this individual was holding a conference and I was there. The conference was being held in what looked like a store front in a mall. There were maybe twenty to fifty people at max in the little store front. I remember leaning to my neighbor and saying “so and so use to sell out arenas now look”. The person had clearly lost their mantle. There was no anointing in the place. Then the dream skips to another place and the individual said to me in the dream, “it was not my fault”. I said, “your right it was not your fault but you still need to repent because God told you not to allow that person in your life and you did anyway”. Then the dream ended with an audible voice saying, “all because of a soul tie”.
Now I have changed some details of the dream as to not reveal the identity of the person I had the dream about. I respect leadership, authority and never make it my business to put my mouth on anyone even fallen leaders. But you get what I am trying to say.
God takes unholy alliances very seriously. Again I am sounding like a broken record but I must repeat myself over and over again through out this book. Soul ties cost you your destiny and purpose for being on this earth.
So exactly what is a soul tie? A soul tie is someone who is spiritually connected by the soul. Now that may sound holy but you don’t want a connection by the soul if your going to fulfill God’s purpose for your life you want a divine connection by the spirit of God. God operates through divine assignment. So whenever He connects anyone to your life it will always be someone who has a similar assignment. There will always be someone preordained for your life that God has for you to meet His promise. Apart of your divine assignment will always be something you could not do on your own. There will always be a part of your assignment that you can’t accomplish without help.
Remember the devil has a purpose and plan for your life too. The devil never wants you to fulfill God’s plan for your life! He has generational curses he wants for you. He wants to stop you in your tracks, leave you impotent and powerless. In fact, one major difference between a soul tie and a divine connection is that divine connections are meant to bring you closer to your destiny. When you meet a divine connection your prophetic baby leaps inside you and you know another part of your destiny is being awakened.
However the complete opposite happens when you align yourself a soul tie. You are slowly and deceptively being taken away from your destiny. The anointing that you once walked in, slowly to leaves. Your strength is gone and you don’t even know it. When a soul tie connects to your life you wake up one morning realizing that you are at a place you never wanted to be, with someone you didn’t really know and most importantly your destiny is nowhere near. Soul ties always take you away from the purpose and plan of God for your life. ALWAYS!
From the very beginning of time, divine connections were the means by which God intended for man to fulfill His promises on earth.
Genesis 1:28 (NKJV)
28. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
So in the beginning one of the major assignments that God gave man was that they be fruitful and multiply. Mind you Adam could not be fruitful and multiply by himself. It is the same today there will be apart of your God given assignment that you will not be able to do on your own. So let’s look at God’s answer for Adams assignment.
Genesis 2:18-24 (NKJV)
18 And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” 19 Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23 And Adam said:
“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Once Eve came into Adam’s life then he was equipped to complete the assignment God had given him to do. Notice God did not give the assignment to Eve. He gave the assignment to Adam. Eve was the missing piece that would help Adam meet his goal. Therefore Eve was Adam’s help mate.
Notice in the scripture Adam did not go looking for Eve. Adam didn’t know He needed Eve God decided that it was time for Adam to have a divine helper. So it is today you don’t go looking for a divine connection when it is your time God connects you with the right person at the right time.
There is always a pattern by which God does things. Divine connections is a divine kingdom law that God uses to bring about His plans for man on earth. Again because satan is a counterfeit soul ties is always a diabolical satanic law, orchestrated by his demonic kingdom to prevent God’s people from fulfilling God’s plan for the earth from manifesting.
That’s why I don’t even like using the word soul mate, if your are single and believing God for a husband or a wife. You still don’t want a soul mate you want a divine connection that has been prepared and preordained by God Himself. So let us journey and see what God has to say about soul ties.
One of the major assignments of a soul tie is to take you away from the voice of God and have you submitting to another voice.
John 10:27 (NKJV)
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
Because Soul ties are meant to take you away from the voice of God they will have you question what God has told you to do. Soul ties always cause you to fall into sin and lead you away from God. Just like God’s mission from the very beginning was to bring man divine connections again it was the devils agenda to deceive man by leading them away from God’s voice.
The first thing a soul tie will do is have you to question what God said. So you make statement’s like, did God really say that? Did He really mean no? So you begin to question what you knew for sure was what God was requiring you to do.
Genesis 3:1 (NKJV)
The Temptation and Fall of Man
3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
Soul ties lead you into immorality and lavish living. As stated soul ties look, act and speak as if they are divine connections. Remember as stated they are counterfeits just like their father satan. So yes a soul tie is a preaching prophesying, no good demon.
Soul ties wear church suits and carry bibles in their hands. Soul ties prophesy over you accurately. Remember a half truth equals a whole lie. Soul ties prophesy to you half truths. Soul ties manipulate the prophetic to having you believing something God did not say. Soul ties don’t look, sound or speak as if they are divinely assigned by the devil. In fact they speak, look and sound as if they are sent by God.
That’s why we must know the voice of God and we must walk in discernment. Soul ties are not intimidating, ugly looking creatures that make you question God. Soul ties are tongue talking, bible believing Christians that make you question God.
That is why we must not be deceived by what we see. Use discernment and DISCONNECT yourself from everyone and everything that God tells you to disconnect from. Soul ties cost you everything AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING!
Remember a soul ties main objective is to turn you away from that which God has for your life
When you align yourself with a soul tie you slowly begin to compromise. The soul tie begins to actually take the place of God so you can’t serve Him whole heartedly. It is a slow moving away from God. You begin to not be as close to God as you have been in the past.
I always say when you look at your life and consider where your life took a turn for the worse it is always a direct correlation between who you came in connection with.
You see God has consecrated us for his purpose. No unclean thing can be in the presence of God. Notice in the scripture the bible God says that the unholy alliance would turn them away from God. Not only do soul ties turn you away from the purpose and plans that God has for you. Soul ties turn you away from God Himself.
You may say “no that can never happen!” Remember, soul ties are a slow leading away and deception from satan. Soul ties underlying motives are to replace God in your life. You can’t serve God whole heartedly with a soul tie. When you are connected to a soul tie there is always a struggle between your relationship with God and the soul tie. You can’t serve God like you use to serve God when you have a soul tie connected to your life.
After continuing to hang around a soul tie a person begins to submit themselves to the control and manipulation of that soul tie instead of God. Remember again it does not happen overnight it is a slow leading away. Soul ties are always manipulating spirits. Soul ties are often being used by familiar spirits. That’s why soul ties can preach, prophesy, speak in tongues and are still being used by the devil. Familiar spirits are spirits that are deceptive enough to look like God’s people when they are satan’s agents.
Matthew 7:6 (NKJV)
6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
Remember when you hang around dirt you will get dirty. Scripture tells us don’t cast your pearls to swine. Ladies you are God’s pearls. You have no business hanging around guys who are not Christian. You have no business associating yourself with a man who doesn’t not know your value. If a man does not have a true relationship with Christ he doesn’t know your value and he doesn’t know your worth. He is simply not capable to treating you like God would have you be treated. Don’t look at the outward appearance look at the fruit. Just because someone goes to church does not mean they are saved.
Guy’s it is the same for you. Remember a demon is a demon. A woman can dress up in the right church shoes, wear the right clothes, do the church shout and still be a demon. Don’t be deceived by outward appearance. If a woman has no real relationship with God before she met you, she is not capable of being a help mate to you. She will be your worse nightmare. The last thing you need in your life is a woman whose emotions are unstable. Guys the last thing you need is to date with a Jezebel. Don’t be intimated by a woman of God.
Have you ever had knew someone who was once so spiritual? You talked about the things of God and were excited about what God was doing. It was like your spirits were connected. The next thing you know that person hooks up with somebody otherwise known as a soul tie and it appears as if they have lost their minds?
Soul Ties cost you everything and I do mean everything, including your prophetic destiny, your ministry, yourself, your soul and you hopes and dreams.
Unfortunately I will have to end my blog post here. This is actually an excert from my book entitled; Soul Ties it is one my favorite books I have written. 1. Do it now! Write Now! Don't let fear and insecurity stop you from pursuing a desire God has placed in your heart.
2. You will find your voice as you write. You don't have to have it all figured out from start to finished.
3. Writing is a ministry just like any other ministry. Holy Spirit will anoint your words and accelerate your progress. The more you do it the better you'll get at it.
4. Don't write because you want to make money, write because your inner voice won't shut up until you do. Eventually increase will come. I have to write, I need to write. (Seriously!)
5. Don't worry about who doesn't believe in your dream, eventually they will get it. It is not your responsibility to prove yourself to anybody.
6. Everyone has a story, everyone is not a writer. Just because someone has published a book doesn't mean they are a writer. If you are passionate about it then more than likely you are a writer.
7. Content, content, content. You can typeset, marginalize, and increase font to make little content seem like much, however at the end of the day your book shouldn't need all that if you have enough content. If you don't have enough to have a full book, work with a ghost writer, keep at it or hire writing services to get it where it needs to be.
Believe it! Content is what gets you taken seriously by other professionals and keeps the reader coming back for more.
The bottom line is your book should look like a book, not a pamphlet or a brochure.
It is the same if you want to publish a workbook. Workbooks that I use in my practice are typically over 100 pages or more. A workbook should definately be more than 10 pages or it is not a workbook.
Google: industry standards for books and follow suite.
8. Yes people do judge a book by its cover but don't worry about all that for now. You can have a great cover with nothing inside, you still have no book.
9. You don't have to pay anyone to publish your book. You do need an editor and someone to help with a cover design.
10. Don't give up! Stop procrastinating! What are you waiting on?
It is really fear that stops us, not lack of motivation!
Psalm 45:1 (NKJV)
45 My heart is overflowing with a good theme;I recite my composition concerning the King;My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
People that are always dwelling on, talking about and fixating on what others have negatively done to them are deeply emotionally wounded. It simply means there are roots of bitterness, resentment, insecurity and unforgiveness in their hearts. These issues must be dealt with and resolved. You can say you have forgiven but your repeated actions prove otherwise.
Jesus didn't look at His enemies while He was on the cross and try to get back at them.
He said, "forgive them Father they don't know what they are doing."
You don't respond or cast out hate with hate. You cast out hate with love.
Often times your enemy is your enemy because they themselves are emotionally wounded.
Forgiveness is a common word in Christianity and it is hard. But not doing it stops your own progress. Ask God to forgive them and you do the same.
Determine to stop trying to prove to your enemies who you are. They already know who you are or they wouldn't be an enemy.
Let your actions show you are a Christian. Let your words do the same.
A few weeks ago I had another client in my office. She was extremely rude. I mean extremely extremely rude. She sat in my office with shades on and barely answered my questions. When she did respond to my questions they were very condescending and sarcastic. I mean I have had some experiences in my line of work but she was one of the worst.
I immediately knew it wasn't anything I had done to her. Really she was emotionally wounded. It just happened my assignment from God was to be the person she met that day. Yes it was an opportunity to show the love of Christ but honestly it was hard. I did but it wasn't easy and my flesh wanted to scream.
Anyway last week she ask to see me. So I walk over she says, "I am so sorry for how rude I was to you. You were so patient with me. It wasn't you I was just going through that day and you didn't deserve that."
Turns out I had referred her to another minister who works there she was very encouraged and doing a lot better. Although her situation had not changed completely she was getting help. The point is I was so glad in that moment that my flesh didn't respond like I wanted to.
When people take issue with you and are down right attacking, rude and demeaning most times it really has nothing to do with you. Particularly when they really don't know you or your situation like that. You would think that since we both know struggle people would know how to respond to each other in a appropriate Christ like manner. But that isn't always the case. This client was a devoted Christian by the way.
The point is I choose not to respond to hate. Hate can't cast out hate. Rude can't cast out rude. The only answer to hate is love.
Show the love of Christ even when it hurts and God will bless you. That woman came out with greater respect for me. I came out with a greater more profound love for CHRIST and her honestly. I wouldn't hesitate to help her again even if she was rude because the lesson was so much greater than the hurt.
I choose not to respond but to show the love of Christ regardless of the circumstance.
Beside when your in Christ you don't have to prove yourself to anyone He has already approved you.

Isaiah 42:8 God declared that He would not share His glory with another.
• Giving your power over to someone else, for them to control, manipulate, and dominate you as they please.
• Your happiness is defined by someone else’s definition
• I would be happy but, he or she won’t let me.
• Your opinions, thoughts, and feeling don’t matter.
• Walking on egg shells
• Second guess yourself, at the suggestion of another.
• Feeling powerless at the hands of others.
• Whenever someone tells you to stand up for yourself, you respond with a yeah but… and the yeah but…. always has something to do with whether or not someone else will respond negatively to your request to be treated respectfully.
• Take back control• No one has power over you, unless you give it to them.• Stop the blame game, it is your choice.• Don’t complain about what you allow.• No one wants to hear a sob story that you are not willing to change.• Set a boundary and follow through.• You are in control of your own destiny.• Life, power and success is in your hands, you decide to win or lose, once you are an adult no one can make you fail or succeed, you do that.• Stand up for yourself• Your opinion, voice matters!• Practice, practice, practice !!!!!i) Start practicing assertive responses in the meantime.ii) Start practicing in small things. (ie: the lady at the counter starts to help someone else after you have been waiting, speak up.)iii) Roll play, practice with another support person. (your therapist, good friend)iv) Don’t apologize in advance when you speak up “I am sorry but I can’t take you to the grocery story today, I have no gas.” A simple “no” will do.v) Feel the guilt, but don’t let it detour your response.vi) Avoid arguments by calmly speaking your truth and walking away.vii) Counseling helps• Remember no one can be anyone’s everything. If someone’s happiness is dependent up being around you that is not a person for you.• Remember no one can be your everything. If your happiness is dependent up on another person that, that person is not for you. People will get tired of having to constantly pump you, pry you or try your emotions. It is better to be alone, and learn who you are than to be in a relationship.• If you can’t love being by yourself no one else will love being around you either.
• God has not given us a spirit of fear.
• Co-dependent relationships are soul ties.
• He will make us bold as lions.
• The only one you are supposed to be completely solely dependent upon is Christ, anyone else is idolatry (idol worship).
Allow the Holy Spirit to break you free from Learned Helplessness.Disconnect from anyone who is emotional, mental and spiritually draining to you. This is a soul tie.
I recommend reading my book: Soul Ties

Speaking out against sin, injustice and immorality is not judging. It is the standard of Christ, His kingdom and His people.
Christians clearly need to read their bibles. Did you know that when you don't speak up for God He will hold you responsible for the blood of sinners as if you committed the act?
Did you know that when you don't speak you deny Him? When you deny Him He will deny you access to Heaven?
Did you know that Christians will judge angels, demons and the world? Did you know judgement starts in the house of God first?
If you didn't maybe you should OPEN YOUR BIBLE AND READ IT!
Instead of forming an opinion form a God thought based upon scripture.
Did you know being an undercover Christian will not get you into heaven or a real relationship with God?
You will be tested. Your belief will be put on trial. You will be forced to speak on where your true alliance is. Your response indicates whether you belong to God or not.
Scripture reference that confirm what I am saying.
Ezekiel 3, Ezekiel 2, Jeremiah 1:17-19, Matthew 10:16-26, 2 Timothy 4:2, Matthew 5:13-16, I Corinthians 6:1-6, I Peter 4:17-18, John 15:18-25 Luke 12:8-12 Luke 12:2 Matthew 10:33 I Peter 4:12-19
(There are more trust me!)Much more!
Passive people are powerless people. Assertive people are bold for Christ, yet still walk in love, compassion and wisdom. Open mouths, versus closed mouths.
Did you know you WILL be persecuted for righteousness sake? If Jesus could not avoid trouble and He was perfect what makes you think you can?
There are two reasons why Christian don't speak.
1. They claim Christ but there actions, ideas, motives and habitual sin all indicate they really don't belong to Him.
2. Fear wanting to avoid confrontation or overly concerned about how they will be perceived.
Again if they hated Jesus without cause what makes you think your going to avoid being hated? Better yet why do you care?
You can speak to someone in love. You can honor God, and lovingly speak against their lifestyle in love.
Did you know you said you belong to Christ? Act like it!
If you didn't know now you know!

Kingdom Purpose: Excerpt from the book Kingdom Mandates, Kingdom Mantles and Kingdom Authority
Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Ultimately the purpose of God is to advance His kingdom. It is to establish His rule and His reign in the earth. It is also to bring others into the body of Christ through salvation.Purpose is the meaning or reason something has been created. As stated, nothing is created without a purpose in mind. God doesn’t wait until we are born to figure out what we are supposed to be. Before we are ever a thought in our parents mind, God had a plan of who we would be and what He wanted us to become.
Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you;Everything about us, our characteristics, our flaws, our specific quirks are because God had His idea of who we would be. If you have ever felt different, odd compared to your peers, associates, or family, it is not your imagination. You really were created different for a reason. That difference was specific to your purpose for being on earth. For example, I have always been the quiet one in the family. From a very small child my parents nicknamed me “bookie”, because I always had my mind elsewhere and my head in a book. I am naturally a quiet and I love to sit and observe the world. From a child, my favorite thing to do was to sit in my room alone and be by myself. My sisters are both loud, and outgoing; while I am a natural introvert. Now it makes sense, I have the true spirit of a writer. Of course writers come with different personalities, but most tend to love books more than most people and they love being alone trying to figure out the world. God made me the way I am because He knew I’d be a writer. I can’t stand being around a lot of people for long periods of time. I’d rather be somewhere writing or reading a book. I’d rather write than talk. I’d rather listen to someone else than be heard. Of course as time has gone by, I have had to be more balanced, but my core personality is the same. I wouldn’t be a writer if I didn’t have a personality that likes to spend hours and hours alone. However, there are some aspects of your personality that has nothing to do with your assignment but it still fits. Imagine my call into ministry where I saw myself declaring the word of God with power and authority. Despite how quiet I am I love to teach. So not only does God know our purpose, He creates us uniquely and designs us based upon His purpose for us.Luke 14:28-32 (NKJV)28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’?31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.Again, God doesn’t just sit down and consider what He needs you for; He sits down and makes your personality fit your purpose.Psalms 139:13 (GNT)13 You created every part of me;you put me together in my mother's womb.
So everything we are is created with God’s divine purpose in mind. Purpose doesn’t to deal with what you will be, but what you already are. When your process and purpose meets, then you have manifestation.Purpose also refers to how an object is supposed to be handled. For example, when you know your purpose, you are not willing to accept second best. When you know your purpose, you tend to build relationships with people who have similar passions. I heard a pastor say that when you don’t know the purpose for a thing, abuse is inevitable. For example, books are for reading. However, if I use my books for holding a window panel open, or as fire for my fireplace I am abusing the purpose for which the thing was created. Books can be used to prop open a window, they can be used to keep the camp fire going. However, if I use the books for that, I am missing the true treasure for which the book was created. What if the book, had secrets to become a millionaire? Or what if the books provided some other hidden secret that was the key that would unlock my success? I would miss all of what is being offered because I am not using the object for the purpose for which it was created. It is the same with people, inside of us is that hidden treasure but people’s gifts, talents, and abilities are being abused because they are not using the creative purpose for which they are created. Even worse, people are going through life depressed, unhappy, and waiting to die, because they believe they have no purpose to live. Many of these people simply don’t know that they have a greater purpose for being. We were created to be what God called us to be not just exist.I am a licensed therapist; a part of my job is to do comprehensive clinical assessments. An assessment is when the clinician interviews the client for about an hour sometimes ninety minutes. The clinician is asking specific questions to diagnosis the client with a mental health condition and to get a clinical picture of how the person came to be, who they are, and the direction the therapist should approach in therapy. One of the questions I tend to ask the client other than their symptoms is what are they passionate about? What are their goals? You’d be surprised; most people either don’t know or are just trying to survive one day to the next. That is no way to live. In God’s kingdom, we don’t live to die, die to live.Purpose gives you a reason to live. Pursuit of the purpose, which we will talk about in a later chapter, gives you the persistence to keep going on despite whatever obstacles you face. Purpose gives the individual a reason for being. When you know your purpose, you have a reason to go on, despite your present circumstances.Purpose gives us the answers to the questions of life. Why I am here? Why did I go through that? Why am I going through this difficulty? Why was I rejected? Why, why, why. The answer is always because of purpose. Purpose is the answer to the why’s of life. We go through certain struggles, because God is preparing us to fulfill His divine purpose for our lives. Nothing happens by happenstance. Nothing happens accidentally. Nothing is without cause. You want to be on the good side of purpose and the not bad. The reality is, even evil has a purpose. The devil has an agenda and a purpose. Although it is not the original purpose that God intended for us to have, it is a purpose none the less.John 10:10 (KJV)10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. That brings me to an interesting point that I have never heard anyone mention about purpose. The reality is, there are two purposes that can exist within a person’s life. There is God’s divine purpose for your life, and there is the enemy’s purpose for your life. Oh yes! Satan does have an agenda and purpose for your life. Satan’s purpose is always perverted. Satan’s purpose for your life is always meant to take you away from God’s purpose for your life. Think about your favorite R&B singer. These people are NOT being used by God. Satan has an agenda. It is very possible to have success by the world’s standards and still lose your soul. So when I talk about purpose, I am intending to awaken the God ordained purpose for your life.Mark 8:36 (KJV)36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? There is even a reason that curses exist in the earth, and it is always a result of rebellion or turning away from God’s original purpose or intent.Proverbs 26:2 (KJV)As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.So don’t assume because a person is successful they are fulfilling their God ordained purpose. Position with man doesn’t mean position with God. Authority with man doesn’t mean authority with God.In fact, we are seeing a great compromise through many of our leaders in the church. These people are successful by man’s standards, but God is not pleased. I believe that we are going to see a great uprising, where the remnant is going to be raised up to take the position of these prominent leaders. God takes no pleasure in making you successful if it is not through Him. God abhors compromisers and will not stand for it.Again, the enemy cannot create anything. That is one thing he will never be able to do, no matter how hard he tries. So when I say the enemy has a purpose for you, I am not intending to suggest that he creates a purpose. Again all satan does is pervert the original intent for which God creates a thing. For example, we know that the earth was created in God’s fullness and for His agenda. However, when satan introduced sin to Eve in the garden of Eden. The earth then became sin natured and the original intent for which the earth was created then was perverted. However, when Christ died on the cross He reconciled the cross back to Himself. Another example is the R & B singer that I mentioned. The purpose for worship which we will talk about in another chapter, was to bring honor to God and to set the atmosphere for God’s presence to manifest. Yet someone who sings music that is full of lust, sex, perverted love, is an example of purpose perverted. God never creates a minstrel to promote sin. I encourage you to pick up my latest book The Heart of Worship.Remember the gift of God is without repentance. Meaning just because you have a gift from God, doesn’t mean you are using the gift to honor God.Romans 11:29 (NIV)29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.Again so just because someone is gifted doesn’t mean they are anointed. This is why we shouldn’t be so caught up in a person’s position or title. God is faithful. He puts the gift in us, but we have to decide whether the gift will be used for His glory or to glorify the devil and His agenda.Satan knows our purpose long before we do. He will try to stop it from coming forth in its infancy. There are two kinds of people that are unsuccessful in God’s eyes; those who never used their gift or abilities and the one who uses their gift and ability for sin and shame. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be either.
God’s Purpose vs Satan’s Perverted PurposeBrings honor to God vs Brings honor to selfWorships God Adultery, vs worship of selfHoliness vs SinPosition with God first then man vs Position with man first no position with God.Authority on the earth and in heaven Superficial authority on earth with man, vsno authority in heaven or with God.Humility Pride vs ArroganceEternal reward Temporary reward on earth, but hell is the final destinationIrrevocablevs vsRevocableNon compromising vs CompromisingGod Serving, advancing His Kingdom, for His purpose Self-seeking, selfish motives, self-serving
Remember, God doesn’t care about lip services. We know who belongs to Him by the fruit that they bare. If the fruit reflects sin and shame, so is the root and no matter how many scriptures it quotes, it is of the devil. However, if the fruit is Godly it belongs to God.Your purpose is always complete in God. You will never find fulfillment in purpose outside of God. Kingdom purpose is always in three different forms. There is the universal or worldwide purpose. The universal or worldwide purpose is found within the word of God. It is the same for all generations. We are a called out body of believers sent to advance His will on earth. There is corporate purpose. Your corporate purpose can be within your local area, your local church. It is an assignment for more than one person, or a specific body of believers. Then there is your individual purpose it is your part or specific purpose within the corporate and universal purpose of God. However, each sphere of purpose is always interrelated and cannot be separated from one another. Most people focus on their individual purpose and end up missing it because we must realize that our purpose is not about us it is about God and fulfilling His mandate. Remember we spoke of mandate in the previous chapter. So when you seek God don’t just seek your individual assignment you must know how it relates to your corporate body and the world wide kingdom of God.First your individual purpose is again the office specific function you have within the body of Christ. Your individual purpose is your part within a greater vision. For example, let say you work for a company, you are not the company, you have a role or job to play within the company that at the end of it all is for the advancement of the company as a whole. You are a great part of the body of Christ, you are a part of the team. However, again if you don’t already know seek God for how your individual purpose or place is related to the corporate and universal agenda of God. Look at what the scripture says about your part within the body of Christ.1 Corinthians 12:4-31The Message (MSG)4-11 God’s various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God’s Spirit. God’s various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God’s Spirit. God’s various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:wise counselclear understandingsimple trusthealing the sickmiraculous actsproclamationdistinguishing between spiritstonguesinterpretation of tongues. All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when.12-13 You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts—limbs, organs, cells—but no matter how many parts you can name, you’re still one body. It’s exactly the same with Christ. By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain—his Spirit—where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves—labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free—are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive.14-18 I want you to think about how all this makes you more significant, not less. A body isn’t just a single part blown up into something huge. It’s all the different-but-similar parts arranged and functioning together. If Foot said, “I’m not elegant like Hand, embellished with rings; I guess I don’t belong to this body,” would that make it so? If Ear said, “I’m not beautiful like Eye, limpid and expressive; I don’t deserve a place on the head,” would you want to remove it from the body? If the body was all eye, how could it hear? If all ear, how could it smell? As it is, we see that God has carefully placed each part of the body right where he wanted it.
19-24 But I also want you to think about how this keeps your significance from getting blown up into self-importance. For no matter how significant you are, it is only because of what you are a part of. An enormous eye or a gigantic hand wouldn’t be a body, but a monster. What we have is one body with many parts, each its proper size and in its proper place. No part is important on its own. Can you imagine Eye telling Hand, “Get lost; I don’t need you”? Or, Head telling Foot, “You’re fired; your job has been phased out”? As a matter of fact, in practice it works the other way—the “lower” the part, the more basic, and therefore necessary. You can live without an eye, for instance, but not without a stomach. When it’s a part of your own body you are concerned with, it makes no difference whether the part is visible or clothed, higher or lower. You give it dignity and honor just as it is, without comparisons. If anything, you have more concern for the lower parts than the higher. If you had to choose, wouldn’t you prefer good digestion to full-bodied hair?25-26 The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don’t, the parts we see and the parts we don’t. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance.27-31 You are Christ’s body—that’s who you are! You must never forget this. Only as you accept your part of that body does your “part” mean anything. You’re familiar with some of the parts that God has formed in his church, which is his “body”:apostlesprophetsteachersmiracle workershealershelpersorganizersthose who pray in tongues. But it’s obvious by now, isn’t it, that Christ’s church is a complete Body and not a gigantic, unidimensional Part? It’s not all Apostle, not all Prophet, not all Miracle Worker, not all Healer, not all Prayer in Tongues, not all Interpreter of Tongues. And yet some of you keep competing for so-called “important” parts. But now I want to lay out a far better way for you.The scripture in I Corinthians 12 is very powerful and a true illustration of Kingdom purpose. We must be clear about our specific purpose. Remember, this is important because as stated in the previous chapter, you will only have authority in places that God has purposed for you. We will talk more about Kingdom authority in another chapter. However you will only be successful in what God has purposed for you.As God is getting ready to birth you into your part of the ministry be very clear about who you are. Be willing to say no when it is not a part of your assignment. In fact, I recently had an incident where I was being asked to help a family member. I initially said yes, however after going further into it, I had no peace about it. I realized I had no grace to carry out the help that was needed. The reason why is because although the person needed help, and I appeared to be the best person for the job; it became very clear to me that it was not a part of my ministry or my assignment. In fact, it would have been a major distraction to me fulfilling the call of God on my life.Again, be clear because the enemy will use opportunity as a distraction if you are not clear. You are going to see many doors of opportunity open to you. However, don’t be so pressed about an opportunity that you assume it is God.When you are clear about your assignment and your purpose you can confidently say no, because you can rightly discern what is an opportunity from God and what is a distraction from the enemy. Remember, the enemy doesn’t always come as an enemy he comes as an angel of light, he knows how to manipulate and make himself appear to be a part of Christendom. As God is birthing you out, you have to be clear and confident in your gifting, your purpose, and your place within the body of Christ.Remember there is purpose, the why you were called, then there is the mandate (assignment) what you are to do.

2 Chronicles 20:15 (NKJV)15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.How spiritual wars are won and lost is very different than how carnal wars are won and lost? In carnal wars regardless of the kind of war, there are no real winners or losers in my opinion. Often times the causalities of wars are so large to me it is almost as if it was not worth fighting. As stated, every battle first starts in the mind. After it starts in the mind, it then impacts our emotions, then our will. So what happens is the enemy places a thought in our mind, we meditate on it. It then starts to take over our emotions, meaning how we feel, then we begin to act on it. Success starts in the mind. Victory starts in the mind. You will never win in any area in life, unless you first see it in your mind.Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.The enemy wants you to see yourself through his eyes, not the eyes of the Father. So he starts by waging war in the mind.In the natural, the superior army wins for different reasons. Some reasons being a stronger, more skilled set of soldiers. Other reasons could be a better strategy or plan to defeat the enemy. Other reasons could be pure deceit. In my opinion, in a natural war no one really wins, we just calm down for years, then the same war begins, with different people. The American Gulf war is a primary example. In natural wars, war then invokes greater wars. Battles are never really won through shed blood. What it leaves is dissention, humiliation and death. What the lost then invokes is underlying bitterness, resentment and that leads to great desires for revenge. As stated, the spirit of war lies beneath the surface and the feelings are hidden. You know the natural war continues because we simply fight again. We just change the name to identify the difference in the war. Mainly it is for the same reason, different battle, same spirits. Spirits never die, they just lie dormant until the next opportunity. I know I am talking about physical battles, but understand there is always an underlying spirit related to every war. This is why when you physically fight battles no one ever wins. You can’t fight wars with physical weapons. Yet throughout history we repeatedly see war after war, time after time, century after century.Again same war, same spirit, different name. However in Christ, there is a strategy from God to win every war. God never said we as Christians would never have to fight, He did promise that if we stick with Him and apply His strategies we would win.Battles and wars in Christ, always have a beginning, a middle and an end. The war first and for most is always for the battle for your soul. It is then for the advancement of the kingdom of God. However, if you can’t win private battles, you won’t be able to win public wars.In fact, scripture teaches us that when you hear of increase in wars and great desolation, this is an indication that the end is near.Matthew 24:6-13 (NKJV)6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places.8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.Although the scripture in Matthew is indicative of national chaos, we must understand, that if we are experiencing these things around us; that we first must deal with the internal struggle, going on inside of us. The war is for your soul, and many souls like you.If we are going to be ready we must be prepared. However, remember I said in Christ we have victory over the strategy of the enemy. In Him we win wars!First every battle from God starts with an enemy, however, there is always strategy from God. Let start by going back to the scripture in 2 Chronicles about Jehoshaphat.2 Chronicles 20:1-30The Message (MSG)20 1-2 Sometime later the Moabites and Ammonites, accompanied by Meunites, joined forces to make war on Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat received this intelligence report: “A huge force is on its way from beyond the Dead Sea to fight you. There’s no time to waste—they’re already at Hazazon Tamar, the oasis of En Gedi.”3-4 Shaken, Jehoshaphat prayed. He went to God for help and ordered a nationwide fast. The country of Judah united in seeking God’s help—they came from all the cities of Judah to pray to God.5-9 Then Jehoshaphat took a position before the assembled people of Judah and Jerusalem at The Temple of God in front of the new courtyard and said, “O God, God of our ancestors, are you not God in heaven above and ruler of all kingdoms below? You hold all power and might in your fist—no one stands a chance against you! And didn’t you make the natives of this land leave as you brought your people Israel in, turning it over permanently to your people Israel, the descendants of Abraham your friend? They have lived here and built a holy house of worship to honor you, saying, ‘When the worst happens—whether war or flood or disease or famine—and we take our place before this Temple (we know you are personally present in this place!) and pray out our pain and trouble, we know that you will listen and give victory.’10-12 “And now it’s happened: men from Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir have shown up. You didn’t let Israel touch them when we got here at first—we detoured around them and didn’t lay a hand on them. And now they’ve come to kick us out of the country you gave us. O dear God, won’t you take care of them? We’re helpless before this vandal horde ready to attack us. We don’t know what to do; we’re looking to you.”13 Everyone in Judah was there—little children, wives, sons—all present and attentive to God.14-17 Then Jahaziel was moved by the Spirit of God to speak from the midst of the congregation. (Jahaziel was the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah the Levite of the Asaph clan.) He said, “Attention everyone—all of you from out of town, all you from Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat—God’s word: Don’t be afraid; don’t pay any mind to this vandal horde. This is God’s war, not yours. Tomorrow you’ll go after them; see, they’re already on their way up the slopes of Ziz; you’ll meet them at the end of the ravine near the wilderness of Jeruel. You won’t have to lift a hand in this battle; just stand firm, Judah and Jerusalem, and watch God’s saving work for you take shape. Don’t be afraid, don’t waver. March out boldly tomorrow—God is with you.”18-19 Then Jehoshaphat knelt down, bowing with his face to the ground. All Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping God. The Levites (both Kohathites and Korahites) stood to their feet to praise God, the God of Israel; they praised at the top of their lungs!20 They were up early in the morning, ready to march into the wilderness of Tekoa. As they were leaving, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, “Listen Judah and Jerusalem! Listen to what I have to say! Believe firmly in God, your God, and your lives will be firm! Believe in your prophets and you’ll come out on top!”21 After talking it over with the people, Jehoshaphat appointed a choir for God; dressed in holy robes, they were to march ahead of the troops, singing,Give thanks to God,His love never quits.22-23 As soon as they started shouting and praising, God set ambushes against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir as they were attacking Judah, and they all ended up dead. The Ammonites and Moabites mistakenly attacked those from Mount Seir and massacred them. Then, further confused, they went at each other, and all ended up killed.24 As Judah came up over the rise, looking into the wilderness for the horde of barbarians, they looked on a killing field of dead bodies—not a living soul among them.25-26 When Jehoshaphat and his people came to carry off the plunder they found more loot than they could carry off—equipment, clothing, valuables. It took three days to cart it away! On the fourth day they came together at the Valley of Blessing (Beracah) and blessed God (that’s how it got the name, Valley of Blessing).27-28 then led all the men of Judah and Jerusalem back to Jerusalem—an exuberant parade. God had given them joyful relief from their enemies! They entered Jerusalem and came to The Temple of God with all the instruments of the band playing.29-30 When the surrounding kingdoms got word that God had fought Israel’s enemies, the fear of God descended on them. Jehoshaphat heard no more from them; as long as Jehoshaphat reigned, peace reigned.Look at the strategy of the enemy. The enemy first decided to make war with God’s people. Isn’t it ironic, it didn’t say the God’s people invoked war. This is how the enemy does, sometimes you are in a battle not because you have done something wrong, but because you have done something right. The next thing that Jehoshaphat did was to pray and seek God. He then called a corporate fast. He then spoke with boldness and authority declaring the word of the Lord. He then said this is not our battle but the Lord’s.Every battle you will overcome we must first start with seeking God’s face. We then start with declaring the word of God. Jehoshaphat was able to hear from God. There is always a strategy of war. However, the answer is found in God. Let us look at another example.Again in the example we will read, I want you to take note here that it always started with an enemy.Judges 6:1-6The Message (MSG)Gideon6 1-6 Yet again the People of Israel went back to doing evil in God’s sight. God put them under the domination of Midian for seven years. Midian overpowered Israel. Because of Midian, the People of Israel made for themselves hideouts in the mountains—caves and forts. When Israel planted its crops, Midian and Amalek, the easterners, would invade them, camp in their fields, and destroy their crops all the way down to Gaza. They left nothing for them to live on, neither sheep nor ox nor donkey. Bringing their cattle and tents, they came in and took over, like an invasion of locusts. And their camels—past counting! They marched in and devastated the country. The People of Israel, reduced to grinding poverty by Midian, cried out to God for help. The major difference in this battle; the people of God’s sin causes God to respond by allowing the enemy to have full advantage in their lives.Romans 1:28 (KJV)28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; That brings me to an interesting point, although I said we fight battles for doing something right. The reality is, we also fight battles and wars for doing something wrong.Sometimes it is hard to tell. My response when I am going through something is to say, “okay God why is this happening to me? And “what am I to learn from this situation?” In the case of the book of Judges the people of Israel did evil in the sight of God.I won’t be linger the story, I do encourage you to read it on your own time. However, regardless of the onset of the battle, God still had a plan.Gideon ended up gathering together an army of about 32,000. That sounds like a pretty large army if you ask me. However, God did something stranger. Let us read the scripture where it left off.Judges 7:1-8 (MSG)7 Jerub-Baal (Gideon) got up early the next morning, all his troops right there with him. They set up camp at Harod’s Spring. The camp of Midian was in the plain, north of them near the Hill of Moreh.2-3 God said to Gideon, “You have too large an army with you. I can’t turn Midian over to them like this—they’ll take all the credit, saying, ‘I did it all myself,’ and forget about me. Make a public announcement: ‘Anyone afraid, anyone who has any qualms at all, may leave Mount Gilead now and go home.’” Twenty-two companies headed for home. Ten companies were left.4-5 God said to Gideon: “There are still too many. Take them down to the stream and I’ll make a final cut. When I say, ‘This one goes with you,’ he’ll go. When I say, ‘This one doesn’t go,’ he won’t go.” So Gideon took the troops down to the stream.5-6 God said to Gideon: “Everyone who laps with his tongue, the way a dog laps, set on one side. And everyone who kneels to drink, drinking with his face to the water, set to the other side.” Three hundred lapped with their tongues from their cupped hands. All the rest knelt to drink.7 God said to Gideon: “I’ll use the three hundred men who lapped at the stream to save you and give Midian into your hands. All the rest may go home.”8 After Gideon took all their provisions and trumpets, he sent all the Israelites home. He took up his position with the three hundred. The camp of Midian stretched out below him in the valley. That is a major reduction in force, any time you go from 32,000 to 300. Some of you may have missed how we got the original number of 32,000. Let me go over it. First the scripture says, all that were afraid were asked to go home, making it 10 companies left. So if 10 companies left that means 22 companies headed home. Companies consisted of persons in sets of 10’s. 32,000 (started)-22,000 (left in response to fear)=10,000. Then God said there is still too many. At the end of it they had 300, remaining. That means 9,700 kneeled drinking, disqualifying them from the fight.I know there are some rigorous criteria to be a part of armed forces. I don’t know about you, but this one seems a bit odd. However, when you think about it, a soldier had to be alert and always aware of the enemy. You can’t be fully alert when you are drinking water like a dog versus when you use your hands, you still are drinking but conscience of the enemy.Even now you can’t allow any vulnerability. The enemy is out to steal kill and destroy. When you read the story you will know that they did end up winning the battle, even being at a disadvantage. I won’t tell you how, you’re going to have to pick up your bible and read it.The point is, everyone is not going to win in life or in spiritual battles. There will be some casualties of war. In spiritual war, causalities come in the form of people who turn away from God, sinners, people to compromise the gospel, Christians who get so weary they give up. People who allow discouragement to forfeit their destiny. I will never forget my Bishop in the church I attended in Maryland told us how, when we first start the battle of the Lord, we are full of vigor and strength. It is through the process of time that a soldier gets, weak, and wounded. Even though we are fighting we lose strength if not careful. The similarities in both stories are that God had a strategy. He used man, but He would win the victory by His own hand. How are real battles won in Christ?Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV)6 So he answered and said to me:“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’Says the Lord of hosts. That is a powerful scripture that will preach all by itself. The key to battles won, are first submission to God. You won’t seek God if you don’t submit to Him. You need salvation in infilling of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit you will never be able to win the battle. This is important because without the Holy Spirit guarding and protecting us we become prey to the enemy. The enemy wants a vessel to use for his work and when you are not in right alignment in God, you will be used by the enemy. I said will be, not may be!War are lost when we allow the enemy to overtake and overpower us through the weapons, which start in the mind.We must put on the whole armor of God.Ephesians 6:10-18 (NASB)10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.12 For our struggle is not against [a]flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 [b]in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 [c]With all prayer and petition [d]pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, [e]be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.Battles are won with the full armor of God. Battles are lost when we are not fully covered with the armor of God.We will talk further about the psychology of the mind in spiritual warfare, but know that God will fight your battles. The enemy will attack you without cause or warning, you don’t have to fight fire with fire. Look at what scriptures says.
Matthew 10:18-20 (KJV)18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.God is the one who wins battles, He will use us as His vessel. You have authority over the enemy, he does not have authority over you.

For single women...as a therapist I often have to say the same thing to different clients.
1. If a man is truly interested in you he WILL pursue you. If he is not pursuing you take the hint.
2. If a man half pursues you leave him alone. Remember Christian women Ahab wants a wife to, regardless of how unfit he is to be a husband. If he expects you to be the man and him to be the woman and you are not in a relationship, it doesn't get better from there. Save yourself wasted time and energy.
3. Your are enough!!!! You do not have to change, dumb yourself down, minimize your success, or play yourself small in order to say you have a man. The man that God has for will be able to lead you, cover you and protect you. Your success will not deter a real man who is not intimidated by you.
4. There is no such thing as a man over thirty who is "just shy." That is the excuse woman use to excuse a man's behavior.
5. Sex outside of marriage, living with a man that is not your spouse is not of God. Masturbation, inappropriate sexual touching, oral sex is still WRONG outside of marriage! Holiness is still right!
6. If you are over 30 you have to date with a purpose at this point you are not interested in dating to "see where things go". Either this is going to head to marriage within the next 6 months to a year or you are not the one and you are wasting time. State what you want up front, if they don't want the same thing LET THEM GO! You don't have time to waste to see if they will change their minds.
7. You need to understand what your vision, purpose and God's plan is for your life is. They need to articulate what their vision, purpose and God's plan is for their life. If they can't articulate it, don't know where they are going, and can't have a decent conversation, saying something other than "what are you doing?" Let the go! You are wasting your time.
8. Standards, expectations and boundaries. Say it with me, "standards, expectations and boundaries." One more time say it again, "standards, expectations and boundaries." One more time for the people in the back. (ok just kidding, no I am not)
9. Remember everyone doesn't have good taste. Common sense is not so common. Stupid is as stupid does. Never forget these words of wisdom.
10. People often look good on paper. They can sell you a mirage, but looking good on paper and being the whole truth are two completely different things. Rachet comes in all different shapes, sizes, titles, positions, and dispositions. Don't be deceived by what you see.
Bonus: Let God lead you. Repeat, "let God lead me."
Psalm 37:23 (KJV)
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
Psalm 37:4 (ESV)
4 Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
God will give you the desires of your heart. If he is not your hearts desire. Keep it moving.
Pick up my book: Worth The Wait
“A woman’s heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him just to find her.”
It is okay to guard your heart.
Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
I am convinced that a lot of heart ache, pain, and wasted years could be avoided if we simply guard our heart. When someone gets in your heart it is hard to get them out. Have a guarded heart versus having walls up they are two completely different things. Walls come as a result of hurt. A guarded heart is a result of being clear about who you are in Christ, again there is a difference. When a man is truly interested in you, He will pursue God first to inquire about you. God is your over protective Father. He will either approve or deny access. You have a responsibility to guard your heart until you hear from God and until He seeks God's favor for your heart.
NEVER FORGET IT!
Unresolved, undealt with fear will turn into a stronghold.
Fear is like a tree, it starts with a seed and will grow.
22 Signs You Struggle With The Spirit of Fear
1. Passive Aggressiveness-fear of confrontation, intimidation, misplacement. Rooted in mother/father wounds. Rooted in history of being in relationship with a person who was controlling, manipulating, someone with the spirit of Jezebel.
2. Panic attacks (feels like heart attacks). Your thoughts are constantly worried about a pending danger. Rooted in a history of loss.
4. Nightmares (sleeplessness) Dreams about snakes, spiders, blood. People chasing you. Flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, hyper vigilance, easily startled. Social indiscriminate. ANY HISTORY OF TRAUMA
5. Catastrophic thinking- you imagine the worst-case scenario.
6. Isolation (very secretive). Don’t speak up fear of what others will think of you.
7. Lack true spiritual authority and spiritual identity.
8. Pessimism (Christians call this discernment)
9. Unresolved emotional wounds.
10. Many fears (fear of open spaces, fear of heights, fear of insects, fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of how people will perceive you, fear of public speaking)
11. Missed opportunities due to not taking the risk or operating in faith.
12. Lack of true authentic relationships (only around surface people.) People who are leaders but don’t have friend they only want to connect with people who they feel they can lead.
13. Difficulty waiting on God.
14. Difficulty trusting
15. Jumping to conclusions (making assumptions)
16. Feel inferior
17. Lack confidence
18. High blood pressure
19. Unbridle emotions, uncontrolled (easily irritated, have anger management issues)
20. Avoidance-avoid anything or anyone that may triggers your anxiety. (crowds, people etc)
21. Repeatedly apologizing
22. Not feeling safe. (emotionally, mentally or spiritually safe)
23. Distance from people, being guarded.
24. People that are broken, are most often attracted to other broken people. Some guys are only attracted to women with low self-esteem because it feeds their need to be needed. Your confidence as a woman or man of God causes someone who is fearful to be intimidated by you.
What To Do:
1. Acknowledge it. God won’t heal you from what you don’t acknowledge.
2. Remember it is a process. True deliverance from ANY fear is NOT an overnight thing. You are not going to be able to be completely healed just by going to the alter alone and getting someone to lay hands on you. Because fear is also rooted in the attack against the mind. So you have to use strategies from kingdom to learn a new way of thinking. Christian Cognitive Behavioral therapy is a great resource.
3. GO TO COUNSELING!!!!
Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
Proverbs 20:5 King James Version (KJV)5 Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
Counselors will help you get to the root of the fear.
4. Meditate on the word of God. (reading, music etc)
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Joshua 1:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
5. You must have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Benny Hinn’s book Good Morning Holy Spirit is a great starting place. The Holy Spirit release divine boldness, healing from fear and the power to overcome.
-knowing someone and having a relationship with them are two different things.
6. Pray the scriptures
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
1 John 4:18
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Matthew 6:31-34 New King James Version (NKJV)
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble
The Story of Two Wolvest
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”
He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

2 Kings 4:3 (KJV)
3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few
We have all had that experience, were we have more bills than we have money. Most people live from paycheck to paycheck. Most people are one check away from being homeless. We use to say when I was younger, “we rob Peter to pay Paul.” Meaning, we don’t pay one bill to pay another bill just to stay afloat.
Most people won’t start off being wealthy, unless you are born into riches. Our Father in heaven is rich beyond imagination, but for mostof us our earthly parents were not.
Really provision is not about our need or God’s ability to provide, it is about our faith. You see God uses the circumstance of life to build our faith, and to get us to a closer relationship with Him. If it was just about our provision, we would never want for anything because God would just pay our bills.
He doesn’t do that straight away. God allows us to have lack in areas or to not have. These are the trying times that are meant to provoke us to have a greater relationship with God.
Think about it, if God just gave you what you wanted whenever you wanted there would be no need for you to pray. You wouldn’t talk to God. You wouldn’t really know Him. You would take for granted who He is in your life.
Have you read about some rich celebrity who had everything they could ever want or desire? They take money, provision and privileges as an entitlement.
You don’t know God as a provider if you never had a need. You don’t know to seek Him as Father, if you have never been fatherless. You don’t know God as King, if He has never been your Lord.
Let us consider this matter further.
First, understand that there are three different levels of provision. You don’t get to the promise without going through the wilderness.
There are three levels of provision are as follows;
1.Not Enough2.Just Enough3.More Than Enough (The Promise)
It is important that wherever you find yourself, you must be faithful unto God. You don’t get to pass through to the next stage if you are not faithful where you are. We will talk later about tithes, but understand if you don’t pay your tithes you don’t get to move forward you get to stay stuck.
First let us look at the first stage not enough. This is when a person is at a deficit. This is when you don’t have enough for your needs. Maybe you have a light bill due, but you don’t have the full amount to pay it. You have a need and no way to supply.
This is when the bill collectors keep calling you, threatening legal action. They keep sending you those letters some in different colors. They are threatening to confiscate your check because you owe them money. This is when the loan sharks are coming after you. Maybe it is the only car you have and the company that holds your loan is threatening to repossess your car. This not enough stage is where many people are today. Some would argue that it is because you are living beyond your means. I would argue that this is not always the case sometimes you have the means, and are living within them, but your means are not enough.
We are going to understand and learn how to progress pass this stage by the supernatural hand of God.
While in this stage believe it or not, God is at work. During this stage of fear and uncertainty first to get you through you must lean on God in unprecedented ways, because He is the only one who can help you.
When you don’t see away know there is always a way. Just pray to God but don’t pray fearful thoughts, remind yourself of who God is, and of His word. “God you said, you are my Father and a good Father takes care of me.” “You said, you would supply all me needs.”
We are going to talk further about divine strategy but understand God takes care of His own.
Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Notice the scripture, “My God”. The scripture doesn’t say, “some foreign being.” If He is your God and you belong to Him, therefore you can declare “My God”.
Ask and keep asking.
Matthew 7:7-11Living Bible (TLB)
7 “Ask, and you will be given what you ask for. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened.
8 For everyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks, finds. If only you will knock, the door will open.
9 If a child asks his father for a loaf of bread, will he be given a stone instead?
10 If he asks for fish, will he be given a poisonous snake? Of course not!
11 And if you hard-hearted, sinful men know how to give good gifts to your children, won’t your Father in heaven even more certainly give good gifts to those who ask him for them?
Whatever you have need of God will supply.
I remember a few years ago, I had just moved and spent most of my money on the move. I was down to my last and wasn’t sure how I would have food. I had decided that I would eat oatmeal and the minimal just to get me through to the next week.
I didn’t think to ask. Out of nowhere someone blessed me with two weeks’ worth of groceries. They told me to get whatever I wanted. Completely unexpected. Just the other day I had decided to go to the grocery to pick up a few items. I ran into an old classmate and she purchased my groceries. Mind you, I had the money but God allowed her to bless me. As we talked, she reminded me that God would supply my need.
I had an incident a while back where I had spent my last bit of money getting my car fixed. A few days later someone gave me money, something I wasn’t expecting, so that the cost of me getting my car fixed didn’t set me back.
My point is, it is at this stage where we learn to trust God. This is not about the need, but the development of our relationship with Him. I wrote a book years ago, after going through some pretty traumatic things. The book was called, Trusting God Isn’t Easy But It Is Worth It.
Two principles you must master in order to progress past this stage is the art of gratefulness, and a divine plan.
Let me explain, first you must practice gratefulness. Meaning, begin to thank God for what He has done. Complaining will keep you stuck. Remaining faithful will get you to matriculate on to the next.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
In God’s kingdom, you can’t start with being a ruler over many, if you can’t be a ruler over little.
Now the divine secret, it is at this stage where God will give you the strategy for divine wealth. He has to get your attention at this stage so that you pursue more. You won’t pursue the greater if you are comfortable.
I don’t know about you, but after going through school, and still being at a deficit, something in my spirit said, “There has to be more to live than this.” Living paycheck to paycheck. Living at barely enough. Never being able to take a vacation, contemplating: “If I go to bible study will I have enough gas to make it to Sunday morning?” Having to choose between the two is not having enough.
Remember, “not enough” is the stage God allows only to get our attention. It is not meant for us to live. Yet there are people that live and die in the place of not enough.
Remember this is the stage where God will give you strategy. I didn’t say He would give you riches at this stage I said strategy. Yes it is a process, and there is something for you to do.
2 Kings 4:1-7Living Bible (TLB)
4 One day the wife of one of the seminary students came to Elisha to tell him of her husband’s death. He was a man who had loved God, she said. But he had owed some money when he died, and now the creditor was demanding it back. If she didn’t pay, he said he would take her two sons as his slaves.
2 “What shall I do?” Elisha asked. “How much food do you have in the house?”
“Nothing at all, except a jar of olive oil,” she replied.
3 “Then borrow many pots and pans from your friends and neighbors!” he instructed.
4 “Go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Then pour olive oil from your jar into the pots and pans, setting them aside as they are filled!”
5 So she did. Her sons brought the pots and pans to her, and she filled one after another! 6 Soon every container was full to the brim!
“Bring me another jar,” she said to her sons.
“There aren’t any more!” they told her. And then the oil stopped flowing!
7 When she told the prophet what had happened, he said to her, “Go and sell the oil and pay your debt, and there will be enough money left for you and your sons to live on!”
Notice the pattern, first the woman starts at not enough, then God uses the prophet to give her a strategy, then she moves from not enough to being debt free and more than enough to live on. However, she had to start at not enough. God will not put His hand supernaturally on nothing. You have to have something. What is your gift, talent, ability? What is in your hand?
It is at this stage where God will give you the business He wants you to have. It is at this stage where the Holy Spirit begins to download to you creative ideas. God will give you a vision that is beyond your financial ability or capacity to fund. It is at this stage where faith begins to rise you in, because you have a plan and a vision from God. You have to trust Him. If you have a vision from God and you know exactly how you will accomplish it, and furthermore, you have the means to make it happen, your vision is not from God. God will always give you a vision that is beyond your capacity. He wants us to know that He has a plan, but we will never get to His promise absent from His provision.
This stage is designed to make us so comfortable that we pursue the greater. Most people don’t pursue greatness in a comfortable or complacent place. This is why God orchestrates our being uncomfortable.
The next stage of provision is just enough. This is when your bills are paid, but you don’t have hardly any left over. This stage can invoke fear and anxiety if we allow; because we start thinking about the “what if’s”. What if your car breaks down? It is at this stage where you can’t save money no matter how hard you try. Believe it or not it is still God’s doing. This is the in-between stage. You are not in a place of poverty, but not at the promise.
A great example would be when the people of Israel were delivered from the bondage of Egypt. Egypt presented a place of not enough. It was a place of extreme poverty.
Then God provides them with manna which means bread from heaven. Remember I said complaining will not get you to the promise. Let’s read. Again, even the place of barely enough we must follow the instructions, and practice gratefulness in order to proceed to the next stage.
Exodus 16:1-6 (NLT)
16 Then the whole community of Israel set out from Elim and journeyed into the wilderness of Sin,[a] between Elim and Mount Sinai. They arrived there on the fifteenth day of the second month, one month after leaving the land of Egypt.[b]
2 There, too, the whole community of Israel complained about Moses and Aaron.
3 “If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned. “There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”
4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.
5 On the sixth day they will gather food, and when they prepare it, there will be twice as much as usual.”
6 So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel, “By evening you will realize it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt
What if God told you not to save, but at the end of each week you have would have double of what you did not save? I know it sounds odd, but that is what happened?
First manna is bread from heaven. Literarily it was a small round substance that tasted like cake. God used it to sustain the people.
Psalm 78:24 (NLT)
24 He rained down manna for them to eat; he gave them bread from heaven.
Exodus 16:31 (KJV)
31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.
They were not having full course meals, but the substance was so good that it was meant to sustain them. Meaning it was a small item, easy to carry, nutritious and guaranteed that they wouldn’t be hungry. Manna was not nasty.
It is during this stage of just enough that God sustains us. He may not give you what you want He gives you what you need.
So God tells the people of Israel only take what you need for the day, and by the end of the day you will have double.
The question we must ask ourselves at the stage of barely enough, are we going to trust God? God doesn’t want us to feel safe and secure in the manna He provides He wants us to find safety and security in Him. The people of Israel were murmurers and complainers. They also were hard headed. Remember I said complaining about what God has given doesn’t get you to the promise. If you are living in a one bedroom apartment, and have a desire to live in a four bedroom dream home, you have to be grateful for the one bedroom apartment. God is using that place to sustain you. You will get to the promise, but not with an ungrateful complaining spirit.
God kept trying to get the people of Israel to trust Him. So He showed them signs and wonders. After they kept complaining about God’s provision He decided to teach them a lesson.
Let us continue to look at what happened.
Exodus 16:7-21Living Bible (TLB)
7-9 In the morning you will see more of his glory; for he has heard your complaints against him (for you aren’t really complaining against us—who are we? ). The Lord will give you meat to eat in the evening, and bread in the morning. Come now before Jehovah and hear his reply to your complaints.”
10 So Aaron called them together and suddenly, out toward the wilderness, from within the guiding cloud, there appeared the awesome glory of Jehovah.
11-12 And Jehovah said to Moses, “I have heard their complaints. Tell them, ‘In the evening you will have meat and in the morning you will be stuffed with bread, and you shall know that I am Jehovah your God.’”
13 That evening vast numbers of quail arrived and covered the camp, and in the morning the desert all around the camp was wet with dew;
14 and when the dew disappeared later in the morning it left thin white flakes that covered the ground like frost.
15 When the people of Israel saw it they asked each other, “What is it?”
And Moses told them, “It is the food Jehovah has given you.
16 Jehovah has said for everyone to gather as much as is needed for his household—about two quarts[a] for each person.”
17 So the people of Israel went out and gathered it—some getting more and some less before it melted on the ground,
18 and there was just enough for everyone. Those who gathered more had nothing left over and those who gathered little had no lack! Each home had just enough.
19 And Moses told them, “Don’t leave it overnight.”
20 But of course some of them wouldn’t listen, and left it until morning; and when they looked, it was full of maggots and had a terrible odor; and Moses was very angry with them.
21 So they gathered the food morning by morning, each home according to its need; and when the sun became hot upon the ground, the food melted and disappeared.
I want you to look again at verse 18. “there was just enough for everyone. Those who gathered more had nothing left over and those who gathered little had no lack! Each home had just enough.”
In the place of just enough, there is enough for everyone. I am not implying that you can’t save at this stage. I am pointing out that those who tried to gather more than they were supposed to, ended up with maggots, a terrible odor and not to gross you out, but I wonder if there were any issues with diarrhea amongst them. Eating bad meat, and smelling the odor of rotten meat will get you on the toilet and throwing up.
Why did God do this? I believe that He wanted them to trust Him. He wanted them to be assured that regardless of what it looked like, they would have more food tomorrow. They didn’t have to store up food and hide stuff, God would give them new manna each day.
Some of you may not understand. My great grandmother was someone who lived alone, but had tons of food stored in her home. She would have bottles of water just sitting on the floor unused. You couldn’t ask her for something or she would get upset. I realized later after she had passed on that she suffered with anxiety. Grandmother had also lived through the great depression. She went through times of not having enough. I believe having that food in her cabinets was a safety blanket. When she passed away and we had to clean out her home. She had cans in her cabinets that had expired 10 and 15 year prior.
Eventually, God would give the people of Israel more but they had to eat manna.
Exodus 16:35 (TLB)
35 So the people of Israel ate the manna forty years until they arrived in the land of Canaan, where there were crops to eat.
Believe it or not your place of just enough is God’s doing.
Let us look at another example.
1 Kings 17:1-7New King James Version (NKJV)
Elijah Proclaims a Drought
17 And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”
2 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying,
3 “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.
4 And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
5 So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.
6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.
7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
I want you to hear me and hear me good. It doesn’t matter what the economy looks like. It doesn’t matter what the economic status of the world looks like. It doesn’t matter who the president is whether you voted for him or not. God will provide for you. God will sustain you.
Sustain means to be kept. Sustain means to strengthen, support physically and mentally. It means to support, carry, withstand, nourish. During a famine God promised the prophet he would sustain him. Look at the similarities between the prophet and the people of Israel. God provided bread, meat and water during a time were no rain, or water was plenteous.
We are spending a lot of time talking about the just enough stage because many people are in this stage. Let us look at another example.
1 Kings 17:8-16 (TLB)
8-9 Then the Lord said to him, “Go and live in the village of Zarephath, near the city of Sidon. There is a widow there who will feed you. I have given her my instructions.”
10 So he went to Zarephath. As he arrived at the gates of the city he saw a widow gathering sticks; and he asked her for a cup of water.
11 As she was going to get it, he called to her, “Bring me a bite of bread too.”
12 But she said, “I swear by the Lord your God that I haven’t a single piece of bread in the house. And I have only a handful of flour left and a little cooking oil in the bottom of the jar. I was just gathering a few sticks to cook this last meal, and then my son and I must die of starvation.”
13 But Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid! Go ahead and cook that ‘last meal,’ but bake me a little loaf of bread first; and afterwards there will still be enough food for you and your son.
14 For the Lord God of Israel says that there will always be plenty of flour and oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!”
15 So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her son continued to eat from her supply of flour and oil as long as it was needed.
16 For no matter how much they used, there was always plenty left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah!
Hopefully you are seeing this. It was not the prophet that we have faith in, but God. God didn’t tell the prophet to go to a rich woman who had money. No, he commands a woman who has no money, and is just wanting to eat her final meal and die.
This stage is so important.
First thing first; this is where your business will be made perfect. Meaning, you will be working and reworking your plan. Since God told me to write, I have spent years, writing. I have spent years working on my gift, each year I have gotten better and better. In fact, I still have to go back and reedit some of my old books.
I forgot to mention that the just enough stage is the process of development. This is where your business appears dormant, but you are growing. This is where you are being overlooked and ignored, but you are getting better. This is where your business plan is being developed to perfection.
How do we master this stage in order to move forward?
1.You must follow the instructions. Notice with the people of Israel they had to follow the instructions. Some didn’t, we won’t have time to go into it, but you will note that most of them didn’t make it to the promise land, including Moses because they didn’t follow the instructions.
2. Keep your mouth shut. You will not make it to the promise complaining. Practice gratefulness every opportunity you can. With the practice of gratefulness comes open doors and open opportunities.
3. Write your vision, then rewrite your vision as you get further instructions. God will give you the vision in parts, those parts will equal a whole. However, you have to write it out. It is not real if it is not on paper.
4. You must begin to see it before you see it. Your business, your vision must be so real that you know with a shadow of a doubt that this is what God has promised.
Habakkuk 2:2-4 (NKJV)
2 Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.
4 “Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith.
Remember at the pointed time, the manifestation will come in supernatural ways.
5. Lastly, you must let go of fear. You can be right on the brink of the greatest breakthrough of your life. Fear will stop you dead in your tracks. Don’t have a grasshopper mentality when you are a king. I will explain. If it is God’s business, God’s plans and God’s vision that He has downloaded to you, He will give you divine instructions and provision for the vision.

Excerpt from the book; The Bible And Business
I am not an advocate of drinking alcohol, wine or beer. However there was an old adage that when a person had some liquid courage in them, they would say whatever they wanted without fear. Getting little tipsy would lend a person to say things they wouldn’t say if they were sober. People said that with this liquid courage you would cast off all restraint and act a fool. You would then regret the next day, due to a hangover, maybe a regretful night, and some hurt feelings.
I don’t drink, I have never gotten drunk in my life. I do have some people who have been addicted to drugs and alcohol in my family and needless to say it is not a pretty sight.
Ephesians 5:18 (KJV)
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Proverbs 23:20-21 (KJV)
20 Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:
21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
God clearly is telling us according to His word we are not to get drunk or be filled with wine. I know this chapter is taking a weird turn but as always go with me, believe it or not we are going somewhere.
My point is there was a time that the only people who said what they wanted, how they wanted, to whom they wanted to, without restraint were people drunk with wine, or people who had anger management problems. Neither of that is a positive.
Now we have blood washed, bible believing Christians who believe that can say whatever they want, disrespect leaders, presidents, and officials in authority without regard or a care. All due to the invent of social media.
Now you don’t need liquid courage, to be arrogant, prideful, or just plain rude and extremely disrespectful, all you need is an open lap top an unrestrained mouth and typing hands that devises evil.
Yep this chapter in case you haven’t already guest it, will hit hard but it will save your life, your business, your relationship, and your ministry. God will still hold us accountable for what we say and what we type. And yes this has very much to do with doing business God’s way.
Matthew 12:37 (KJV)
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:36 (KJV)
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
This will make sense in a minute. I want you to understand that when you are in business, you sit in a position of authority. There is certain respect that we must have for anyone who sits in this seat of authority whether you agree with them or not. It doesn’t mean you compromise or don’t speak up, there is a way to speak to authority as found in scripture.
I want you to understand every act, word, deed that you do against someone seated in this position of authority is a reflection on you. What that means is every arrow you sling towards someone else, will release that same curse back to you ten times greater. When you make yourself a weapon against someone’s seat of authority, God then releases that same curse back to you?
What you reap to others, you will reap yourself. This is important because as a business leader you must handle other people correctly. Many people get it when it comes to handling people correctly that they lead, what they don’t get is how you treat people who are in positions of authority over them, will be a reflection of you and whether or not you succeed or fail. It will either contribute to your blessing or your demise, whether you know them or not. It really doesn’t matter whether or not you agree with them. No they are not unapproachable or without reproach.
Remember scripture says whatever idle world spoken you will give account. Idle means empty, void, worthless.
When you disrespect another leader, God will in turn make sure you are disrespected to a greater degree, it also shows that you have a wrong spirit that needs deliverance. I can prove it by scripture.
2 Peter 2:10-11 (TLB)
10 He is especially hard on those who follow their own evil, lustful thoughts, and those who are proud and willful, daring even to scoff at the Glorious Ones[a] without so much as trembling,
11 although the angels in heaven who stand in the very presence of the Lord, and are far greater in power and strength than these false teachers, never speak out disrespectfully against these evil Mighty Ones.
To clarify I am going to put this scripture in a different translation.
2 Peter 2:10-11 (KJV)
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
2 Peter 2:10-14 (MSG)
10-11 God is especially incensed against these “teachers” who live by lust, addicted to a filthy existence. They despise interference from true authority, preferring to indulge in self-rule. Insolent egotists, they don’t hesitate to speak evil against the most splendid of creatures. Even angels, their superiors in every way, wouldn’t think of throwing their weight around like that, trying to slander others before God.
12-14 These people are nothing but brute beasts, born in the wild, predators on the prowl. In the very act of bringing down others with their ignorant blasphemies, they themselves will be brought down, losers in the end. Their evil will boomerang on them.
Presumptuous means full of, characterized by, or showing presumption or readiness to presume in conduct or thought, as by saying or doing something without right or permission. It also means unwarrantedly or impertinently bold; forward. Impertinent means not showing proper respect; rude. Mean they are without restraint rude, disrespectful and bold, directly at dignitaries. Dignitaries are people put in positions of authority, a high rank of office, or important position.
Let us go back to the scripture.
The word is telling us that ungodly people will walk in the flesh, meaning they say whatever their flesh tells them to. They are unclean, they despise the government, are self-willed (doing whatever they want to do and say) and they are not afraid to speak negatively about someone with boldness.
We are going someone where. Dishonor is setting yourself up for a curse. Verse 11 tells that that angels who have higher might and power know the wisdom against not making accusations or rude statements against someone in authority.
The bible calls people like this false teachers. Scripture calls out the people bragging, talking against officials. When they don’t understand something they speak against it.
2 Peter 2:12 (KJV)
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
2 Peter 3:3 (KJV)
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
Scoff means speak to someone or about something in a scornfully derisive or mocking way.
Jude 9-11The Message (MSG)
9-11 The Archangel Michael, who went to the mat with the Devil as they fought over the body of Moses, wouldn’t have dared level him with a blasphemous curse, but said simply, “No you don’t. God will take care of you!” But these people sneer at anything they can’t understand, and by doing whatever they feel like doing—living by animal instinct only—they participate in their own destruction
Jude 9-11 (KJV)
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
When someone is in a position of authority there is a level of respect and dignity that comes with the position.
Let me give you an example of how this is important to you.
I remember years ago the church I was attending went through a church split. I felt some kind of way about it and was very hurt at my pastors. I remember a friend from my hometown called me and I ended up venting about what I felt was wrong.
The next thing you know all chaos broke loose in my life. I mean I had a curse released over my head. I remember crying out in anguish asking God what happened. He reminded of that phone call I had with my friend.
Mind you what I said wasn’t wrong, my estimation of how I thought things went and should happen was according to the word of God. I was venting, to her. God didn’t tell me what I said was wrong, He told me speaking against them was wrong, I shouldn’t have done that.
I had to repent. I am going to show you in scripture how you can still represent the mouth piece of God and be respectful, yes we are still going to talk about social media.
Another time I had a friend, who is no longer a friend. She had her own ministry. She would often speak against leaders in other churches, what she felt they did wrong, and such, I mean it was an ongoing thing.
The Holy Spirit was offended. Every time I was around her I began to feel very convicted and grieved of Him. I knew the Lord was telling me to disconnect for this reason. I didn’t want to because I am a young person just like everyone else. I wanted friends and enjoyed the fun times, it wasn’t all bad.
I remember being so convicted, I finally decided to just disconnect. I remember after making that decision, I went to church that night, and my then pastor began to speak about this very topic. I knew I had heard from God.
When a person continues to speak against another, they were despising authority, they are ignorant of satan’s devices, they are pretentious, and don’t understand that they are releasing curses into their own lives. They are secretly contentious of someone else’s authority. Meaning they are jealous and envious of someone else’s position of authority.
Psalm 105:15 (TLB)
15 “Touch not these chosen ones of mine,” he warned, “and do not hurt my prophets.”
1 Chronicles 16:22 (KJV)
22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
There is a way to respond to leaders in positions of authority even when they are wrong. David was a prime example. Saul was coming after him trying to kill David, multiple times. David never responded with disrespect or contentiousness, he honored Saul until his death. Even though Saul was dead wrong and acting outside of the will of God. David had an opportunity multiple times to kill Saul, but he didn’t. Look what David said, to Saul, after he didn’t kill him when he could have.
1 Samuel 24:3-12Living Bible (TLB)
3 At the place where the road passes some sheepfolds, Saul went into a cave to go to the bathroom, but as it happened, David and his men were hiding in the cave!
4 “Now’s your time!” David’s men whispered to him. “Today is the day the Lord was talking about when he said, ‘I will certainly put Saul into your power, to do with as you wish’!” Then David crept forward and quietly slit off the bottom of Saul’s robe!
5 But then his conscience began bothering him.
6 “I shouldn’t have done it,” he said to his men. “It is a serious sin to attack God’s chosen king in any way.”
7-8 These words of David persuaded his men not to kill Saul.
After Saul had left the cave and gone on his way, David came out and shouted after him, “My lord the king!” And when Saul looked around, David bowed low before him.
9-10 Then he shouted to Saul, “Why do you listen to the people who say I am trying to harm you? This very day you have seen it isn’t true. For the Lord placed you at my mercy back there in the cave, and some of my men told me to kill you, but I spared you. For I said, ‘I will never harm him—he is the Lord’s chosen king.’
11 See what I have in my hand? It is the hem of your robe! I cut it off, but I didn’t kill you! Doesn’t this convince you that I am not trying to harm you and that I have not sinned against you, even though you have been hunting for my life?
12 “The Lord will decide between us. Perhaps he will kill you for what you are trying to do to me, but I will never harm you.
Again Saul was actively in pursuit of trying to kill David, he basically stops and uses the bathroom. David’s men tell him to go ahead and do it, “this must be God’s will.” David didn’t kill the man that is trying to kill him, but falls down to his feet and apologizes for cutting a piece of his robe off. Hello! Someone is trying to kill you and you repent for cutting a piece of clothes. Now that is nothing but the spirit of God in David.
Look what happens next.
1 Samuel 24:15-22Living Bible (TLB)
15 May the Lord judge as to which of us is right and punish whichever one of us is guilty. He is my lawyer and defender, and he will rescue me from your power!”
16 Saul called back, “Is it really you, my son David?” Then he began to cry.
17 And he said to David, “You are a better man than I am, for you have repaid me good for evil.
18 Yes, you have been wonderfully kind to me today, for when the Lord delivered me into your hand, you didn’t kill me.
19 Who else in all the world would let his enemy get away when he had him in his power? May the Lord reward you well for the kindness you have shown me today.
20 And now I realize that you are surely going to be king, and Israel shall be yours to rule.
21 Oh, swear to me by the Lord that when that happens you will not kill my family and destroy my line of descendants!”
22 So David promised, and Saul went home, but David and his men went back to their cave.
By the way Saul didn’t keep his word, he went right back to trying to kill David even after David showed him tremendous mercy. David kept his word and didn't try to kill Saul.
A great example was in the life of Joseph and Daniel. Joseph was accused of rape but never disrespected the authorities of his time.
Daniel was in a time when the king was corrupt. God used Daniel to go to the kings chamber and speak the whole counsel of God. He spoke the truth, in love, interpreted dreams and visions, but was never disrespectful in anyway, even though as stated he was thrown in a lions den, in a fiery furnace, great injustice happened to Daniel, and he never disrespected the man who was responsible for it. Yet he spoke the truth, always giving glory and honor to God first.
Daniel was such a witness of God, that his obedience and humility led the king honor God, before a nation.
So how does this relate to social media?
I am glad you asked, because I am going to show you how Christians are releasing curses onto themselves constantly speaking against each other, government officials, the president, other ministers. You are the initiator of your own demise.
Let’s say a great leader within the church has been found to have been laundering money at large amounts. There it is live on CNN, CBC, Fox News you name it. A great pastor taken in hand cuffs, to the local police station. By the way this is a fictional story.
You are so angry. Then you get on social media and begin to talk bad about the church, this pastor, his associates, with the hash tag, money hungry preachers.
Were you wrong to feel angry? No. You still just released a curse into you own life. Why? You are disrespecting someone in a the position of authority. So how should you respond? Prayer. Don’t put your mouth on anyone. Don’t type it on Facebook either.
Proverbs 21:1 (KJV)
21 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
What will happen to you? In your business you will experience the same curse and God will remind you of the idol words you spoke and typed against someone else. It could be an accounting error in your company. It could be that you have someone laundering money from your company and you had no idea.
The point is when you so discord amongst the body of Christ it will come back to you. God will deal with the leader if it is true.
Other examples, your favorite celebrity gains a few pounds, so you use social media to post unflattering pictures about them, making jokes. Well you reap what you sow.
Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Let us look at another example; there is controversy regarding your favorite gospel singer, so you take it to social media.
Guess what you are going to reap.
Another example the highest governmental office in the United States, is occupied by someone you think is an absolute disgrace. He appears to be highly unqualified, and pretentious. So you don’t think to remotely pray for him that God would turn his heart towards Him. No what you do is, every chance you get you post something that is downright derogatory about him.
I am not saying you are wrong to feel how you feel. I am not saying I am a supporter. Nevertheless this person is in a seat of authority. You can either be like Daniel, Joseph, the other prophets in the bible or you can be cursed. You decide.
I know some of you are not going to agree with this chapter, but I promise you I could care less. We Christians need to act like Christians when it is hard, not just when it is convenient and things go our way.
You want to curse yourself that is your business, I am just telling you what the word says.
Another example you think a big time televangelist is an outright fraud. So you go on Facebook live to hold a big teleconference about how wrong you think he or she is.
Just go one ahead and point to yourself, and say, “cursed.” Because that is what is going to happen. Remember our scripture that we read in the beginning of this chapter.
Proverbs 6:16-19 (KJV)
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Why do we love something that God hates?
No you are not in position to question someone else’s position of authority just because you are seated in the same position or similar position of authority. There is no scriptural basis for that. Does that mean God doesn’t send a person to correct or admonish or direct? No.
Luke 17:3 (KJV)
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
1 Timothy 5:20 (KJV)
20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
Still when you read the bible the prophet was always sent to a king, or priest. God would send the prophet. Man didn’t just send himself. The prophet responded in the most tactful way possible.
Matthew 18:15-17 (KJV)
15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
Galatians 6:1-3 (KJV)
6 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
2 Thessalonians 3:14(KJV)
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
I am not suggesting that you be a passive Christian and never say anything about injustice. I am suggesting that you be led by the Holy Spirit. These people acting as social media bullies are not being led by the spirit, in fact the tone and spirit in which they write breeds, jealously, envious, a spirit of competition, and they are doing what God hates, spreading discord (division) among Christian brethren.
Inevitably if you are a business owner you cannot avoid social media. If it was up to me, I would do away with social media all together, but the problem is I would like to actually sell books. I need my websites, facebooks etc. I need to drive traffic to my private practice
Yet there are still rules to remain in integrity and good character.
The final will be a list of strategies and ethics. We have already talked in detail about principles.
Strategies and Ethics:
They are in no particular order.
1. Don’t use any social media account to sow discord, sow rumors, gossip, hatred to another organization, minister, persons in authority. Pray.
2. If you cannot tell it to someone’s face with the same level of sarcasm, and tone then you probably shouldn’t say it. You are more than likely not being led by the Holy Spirit
3. Stick to the facts, no false advertisement. Don’t hype yourself up beyond where and who you are. You are not a worldwide singing sensation, just because you can sing, and you have a website that technically can be accessed in different nations.
4. Facebook is not your therapist. If it sounds like something you should be processing through in a private confidential, place, it probably shouldn’t be posted on social media.
5. Remember listen before you speak, or in this case READ, before you type, and hit that post button.
6. There is a such thing as too much sharing. We really don’t want to know what you ate last night, your breakfast, pictures we don’t need to be included when you’re hungry and every little detail about your life.
7. Just like in life we consider a person just plain obnoxious, and annoying when they keep talking about themselves, so it goes with social media.
8. Make it about your business, your product etc.
9. There is a log out, unsubscribe, block button attached to your social media accounts, please feel free to use them.
10. Lastly as my pastor says, “when you are great, everyone shouldn’t have access to you.” Just because you are on social media doesn’t mean people have 24 hour access to you.
11. Don’t go back and forth with anyone on social media.
12. Don’t take it personal, your insecurities will show.
13. Remember the sound bite is dangerous. You most likely don’t have all the information about someone you have a sound bite. Don’t fall victim, or prey to the deception of the sound bite.

Unfortunately in today’s society things are not always what they seem. We are living in a world where there is a spiritual undercurrent in the lives of many. There is a demonic spirit, agenda from satan himself emasculating the man and positioning the world for the spirit of Jezebel to reign supreme. Both the spirit of Ahab and Jezebel exist today. There is much teaching on the spirit of Jezebel; there is not as much teaching on the spirit of Ahab. For those who are unaware Ahab was a King, therefore, he had a position of authority, but he operates in a very passive spirit. Because of his passive spirit, a nation was almost destroyed. Ahab and Jezebel are dead, but their spirit lives today. We are seeing more and more Ahab’s and Jezebel’s in our world. This blog is about how to discern the spirit of Ahab in others. Although the spirit of Ahab does exist in women, it is not easily detected because it is a feminized spirit. However, for the sake of this blog post, we will focus on how to discern the spirit of Ahab in a man. Note an individual doesn't have to have all the symptoms or characteristics noted. If you identify at least five you know that a spirit of Ahab is present.
Symptoms/characteristics of Ahab
• A passive man
• Submitted to a controlling woman. (Often with women who has a title of Prophetess or Prophet)
• Feminized man
• Won’t lead even in conversation he expects a woman to lead.
• Ahab doesn’t speak up for his wife and children.
• Ahab is not a provider or protector. He can’t give identity because he doesn’t know his own identity. (Ahab is not a father fiqure)
• Quiet but not discerning
• No boundaries
• Intimidated by Godly men.
• Easily manipulated
• Doesn’t speak up when wronged.
• Co-dependent (can’t think for himself)
• A generational spirit (his father and grandfather's where Ahab’s.)
• Didn’t have good male role model’s growing up, didn’t have a strong father or father figure.
• Use to women taking care of him.
• Secretly suffers from anxiety and chronic fear
• Lacks leadership skills or the anointing of a leader but has a position or title of a leader.
• Is not discerning
• Doesn’t like to be confronted with the truth, when he is confronted he will easily agree to avoid conflict but never changes his behavior because his heart doesn’t change.
• Will easily put up with a controlling, manipulative woman.
• Expects a woman to take care of him.
• Is attracted to spiritual Jezebel’s but not spiritual Esther’s.
• Easily intimidated by a strong woman, while in a relationship with Jezebel (is secretly scared of her).
• May have a position, title or platform, but behind the scenes, Jezebel is running the show.
• Will sit at home sleeping while his woman works.
• Doesn’t work or can’t stay on a job for a long time.
• If single he goes from house to house with different women taking care of him.
• His mother was a Jezebel.
• His mother doesn’t see a potential wife for her son as a potential daughter but rather someone to be in competition with. His mother took care of him much longer than she should have. He is an adult child.
• Came from a single parent household.
• Fear of confrontation.
• Fear of speaking the truth.
• Fear of rejection, insecure.
• Surface conversations.
• Fear, Fear, Fear.
• Beware ladies, you can discern a Ahab when you don’t really know him like that but he starts disclosing past hurts and current complaints. He wants you to feel sorry for him, so you empathize so much that you start taking care of him. Ahab can’t make decisions on his own or figure it out so he starts talking to you.
• Ahab is passive aggressive. He can’t say what he really feels to you, he has to make sideways innuendos and comments. Ahab can’t be assertive even if it is in a respectful way.
• Ahab is a grown man with the mentality of a little boy.
• Ahab if married will be the stay at home dad while his wife works. (which is out of order by God’s standards by the way)
So How Can Ahab Get Free?
He must acknowledge his Ahab spirit before God. God will not free you from what you don’t acknowledge.
Endure the process. God will send Ahab’s through a series of test to build their spiritual muscle and make them into the individuals God has called them to be. The process is hard, gut wrenching because through every step of the way Ahab is tempted to go back to Jezebel or go back to being taken care of because that is his unhealthy coping mechanism.
Do not! Do not! Go to being in a relationship. If Ahab is single, he must remain single until the processing is done. Any relationship including friendships, and romantic relationships will turn into unhealthy codependent relationships because Ahab thrives on people taking care of him. He needs someone “stronger” than himself to lean on. Ahab must learn to lean on God and must wait for God to release divine authority to him. Ahab must find his true identity as a man of God. Anyone that Ahab finds himself in a relationship with he will take on their identity because he has no real sense of self. Ahab if your single, stay that way until God has done processing you. Ahab will force the person he is in a relationship with to lead because of his passive nature. They will eventually come to resent him because of this.
If you are married to an Ahab, it may be hard but stop pacifying Ahab. Hold him accountable. If he doesn’t get it done don’t do it for him. If Ahab refuses to work, you’re going to have to show him tough love. Do not continue to enable Ahab.
Ahab has big problems with boundaries setting boundaries and respecting boundaries, so you have to make your boundaries and expectations very clear. Again make boundaries both personal and professional very clear because Ahab lacks common sense and discernment.
Pray, Pray, Pray, Endure the Process then Keep Praying.
The Word, The Word, The Word.
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
For scriptural reference see I Kings 18 and read your way through. Look for patterns in the relationship between Jezebel and Ahab.

When people say a woman can't be a entrepreneur, in ministry, married and have a family tell them to read their bible. When they say you can't have it all tell them to read their bible. When they say your doing to much tell them read their bible. When they say your too ambitious, intimidating, or to driven tell them to read their bible. When they tell you, you have to slow down to get a man tell them to read their bible. When they tell you what you can't do because you are a woman, tell them to read their bible. There we are right in the text.
Proverbs 31:10-31 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Description of a Worthy Woman
10 [a]An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her?
Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls.
11 The heart of her husband trusts in her [with secure confidence],
And he will have no lack of gain.
12 She comforts, encourages, and does him only good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13 She looks for wool and flax
And works with willing hands in delight.
14 She is like the merchant ships [abounding with treasure];
She brings her [household’s] food from far away.
15 She rises also while it is still night
And gives food to her household
And assigns tasks to her maids.
16 She considers a field before she buys or accepts it [expanding her business prudently];
With her profits she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard.
17 She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task]
And makes her arms strong.
Her lamp does not go out, but it burns continually through the night [she is prepared for whatever lies ahead.
19 She stretches out her hands to the [b]distaff,
And her hands hold the spindle [as she spins wool into thread for clothing].
20 She opens and extends her hand to the poor,
And she reaches out her filled hands to the needy.
21 She does not fear the snow for her household,
For all in her household are clothed in [expensive] scarlet [wool].
22 She makes for herself coverlets, cushions, and rugs of tapestry.
Her clothing is linen, pure and fine, and purple [wool].
23 Her husband is known in the [city’s] gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes [fine] linen garments and sells them;
And supplies sashes to the merchants.
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure;
And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared].
26 She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction].
27 She looks well to how things go in her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired);
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying,
29 “Many daughters have done nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness],
[c]But you excel them all.”
30 Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the product of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city].
