This will not be a long article just me wanting to write something. In my last post entitled True Beauty I wrote how after a day of shopping  and feeling good I hear God speak. He said to me, “Man may look at the outward appearance but I look at the heart”.

It just made me think how grateful I am that God doesn’t forget. He is so wonderful. He is so love. He will sing over you when no one else will. He will tell you you’re beautiful when the world forgets that you exist. Trust me I know. So without being corny lets us do an exercise together. Think about where you were, what God has delivered you from and where He is taking. Then take out a piece of paper and write out all the things you are grateful for. I am going to write mine out and share with the reader but you write it to yourself. The rule of a great writer is to write as if no one is listening it will be more authentic. Try to write without distractions, get to a quiet place. Remember we are just doing a simple exercise don’t worry about dictation or grammar. This is not a dissertation. Get in the frame of worship, if you have to throw on a good worship CD. Write now as I write I am listening to Tarralyn Ramsey's first album, I am listening to the same song over and over again. Peace of God, Count it all joy and Come In. You'll be surprised how this simple exercise will help you feel so awesome and put you in a worship frame of mind. Okay here is mine, you do your own. Remember you don’t have to share it with anyone it’s just between you and God. Just keep writing till you can’t write anymore.

Things I am grateful for:
I am grateful that…
- I am not forgotten by God.
-I am not what I use to be.
-I have a hope.
-I can hear Your voice.
-When I thought I would lose my mind Your spirit kept me sane.
-For delivering me from fear.
-For making me feel beautiful.
-That I am no longer addicted to food.
-That Your love surrounds me.
-You see me as who I am.
-Your transforming me.
-Thanks for the vision and dreams You gave me.
-For placing Your words in my mouth.
-That I don’t have to try and please man.
-For getting me out of a desperate situation.
-For bringing me to NC when I didn’t think I could make it on my own.
-For paying my bills when I couldn’t.
-For protecting me and making me feel safe when I felt so afraid.
-For dying on the cross.
-When everyone else walked away You were right there.
-For being my everything.
-For being my best friend that sticks closer than a brother.
-For helping me get through life and high school.
-For hovering over me as I sleep, just to let me know that I am okay and that You were right there.
-For seeing in me what I didn’t see in myself.
-For Your kindness.
-For never giving up on me when I gave up on me.
-For awakening me to Your purpose.
-For giving me a purpose.
-When I wanted to give up and commit suicide You wouldn’t let me.
-For telling me I am going to make it, and making sure I did.
-That the devil didn’t take me out.
-That Your love is uncomprehend able.
-For letting me vent.
-For giving me a real prophetic word right from Your own mouth. Uhh umm especially with all the propheliers, and manipulators who only want what’s it your purse. I thank God for saying, yes to me and no to me, that not’s me that is me or yeah but I still have to process you first.
-Thank God for just being honest and saying. Yes but not now.
-For giving me a song from way deep down within.
-For loving me unconditionally.
-For seeing me as beautiful before I lost over 100 pounds.
-That I don’t have to be a perfect size or shape.
-For calling me a winner before I won.
-For making me healthy.
-For deliverance.
-For process. It has been soooooo hard but it is better to be anointed to the position then appointed to the position.
-For never allowing me to give up.
-For helping me to get through all the crazy college years, professors, all night papers. I honestly never even imaged that I would have a degree let alone close to a PhD but You are faithful.
-For love. Love, Love.
-For breaking me.
-For lifting me up.
-For not leaving me as I was.
-That I am healed without the scares.
-For true intimacy with You.
-For allowing me to evolve into the person You want me to be.
-For changing my thoughts.
-For changing my perception.
-For listening.
-For loving.
-For transformation.
-For Your word.
-For telling me the truth.
-For moving on my behave.
-For that time when I ran out of money for school and You gave me what I needed. I know if You did it once You’ll do it again.
-For being my best friend, husband, confident, father all at the same time.
-For protecting me.
-For healing my broken heart.
-For healing my wounded soul.
-For when the devil told me what he thought I would become, You said no.
-For not allowing the enemy to conquer me.
-For love, your overwhelming, uncomprehend able love.
-That I don’t have to prostitute Your anointing.
-That when you do open doors man cannot shut them.
-For giving me another vision, when I thought it would never be. You just wouldn’t let me give up. You just kept speaking over and over again.
-For allowing me to be peculiar. It was hard growing up different, but now I see the tremendous blessing in being different. Boy and I glad now, but I wasn’t glad then.
-Thank you that I never fit in to the clicks or the crowds. Now I never intend to.
-For giving me peace in my home.
-For giving me a secret place.
-For your alone place.
-For gifts.
-For compassion.
-For conviction.
-For wisdom, God's wisdom that kept me from foolishness and confusion. It was Your wisdom that directs.
-For the ability to be silent.
-For the ability to rest.
-For changing my habits.
-For changing my mourning into sunshine.
-For what Your going to do.
-That my best years are ahead of me.
-For restoring everything I lost.
-For the first time You ever spoke. I didn’t believe it but now I see.
-For being the best counselor ever.
-For revelations.
-For my tomorrow.
-That fear is gone.
-For protection.
Whooo what a mouth full I didn’t think I’d write that much. I am going to keep going but I will post this. I am going to finish writing my grateful list and get much more personal in my journal. It definately helps to stay positive when you think of where God brought you from.
Be Blessed.
