Hidden In Plain Sight
© 2022 Dr. Samaria M Colbert There are times that God hides you to train, develop and prepare you for what he has already preordained for you. You have not been rejected you have been selected. It is the pattern of God to hide certain people to be used for greatness. Moses was hidden in the Pharaoh’s house. Esther’s identity and nationality was hidden from evil Hamon. David was outside tending sheep. He then went to be a harp player for the king he was called to replace. Jesus was hidden until his public ministry at 30. He tried to start his ministry at 12 but was not successful. Joseph was incarcerated before he was revealed. The common denominator is that they were all hidden in plain sight. Remember your being hidden is not permanent but to the glory and honor of God. Mark 4:22 New King James Version 22 For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. Ten Reasons Why God Hides You? According to James 1:2-4 James 1:2-4 New King James Version 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b]perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1:5 New King James Version5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 3. To produce patience in you James 1:12 New Living Translation12 God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. 4. To increase your faith. 1 Peter 1:6-7 New Living Translation6 So be truly glad.[a] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 5. Because what you carry is not ordinary *Remember Hannah who produced a prophet who would anoint Kings. *Sarah who would birth a nation. *Esther who was chosen to save a nation. 6. God hides you from the enemy. Remember God always has a plan we can’t see, but he is not going to reveal the strategy to the enemy. There is always a ram in the bush. 7. Because you are the gift and what you carry is a gift. Remember a man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men according to Proverbs 18:16. The point is a gift that is going to be given to someone great, is prepared with great diligence in private to be present to the public. 8. Because you are chosen. 9. Because you are the deliverer. 10. Because you are someone’s replacement. Remember David was King Saul’s replacement. Esther was Vashti’ replacement. God replaces people who don’t really have his heart and don’t have capacity to carry the assignment. Finally remember the reason you are hidden in plain sight. Esther 4:13-14 New King James Version13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” My final advice, remember stay humble, remain consistent, remain in integrity, and use wisdom when it comes to your transparency.
